The Dennis Parker Trio - SOLD OUT!

The Huntsville Traditional Music Association presents the Dennis Parker Trio at Tangled String Studios!

Dennis Parker - with friends Cindy Musselwhite and Ben Davis - will kick off the 2020 HTMA Coffeehouse series Tuesday, January 28 at 7:00 pm at Tangled String Studios!  Tickets are $20.  Doors open at 6:15.  Feel free to bring your beverage of choice!

Dennis Parker is currently a member of the Ricky Skaggs band and earned a Grammy award for work on Ricky Skaggs’ Bluegrass Rules Album (guitar, mandolin and vocals). Dennis has also played professionally with Leann Womack, Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffy, and Mark Chestnutt among others. He's equally at home playing blues, soul, country, Gospel, pop and contemporary Christian. Dennis is a master at multiple instruments to include the fiddle, banjo and mandolin, but he favors the guitar. A state contest winner on fiddle, banjo and guitar he has won multiple other contests in many states.  His most recent release "Songs Under the Air Conditioning Unit" is a dramatic true life story of his own battle with alcoholism and the path to grace.  The music along with the narration is a testimony of how God amazingly extends his love to the broken.

Cindy Musselwhite developed as a musician and performer playing alongside her three siblings as a member of the bluegrass group, The Hoyles. The Hoyles were inducted into the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Honor in 2014. Cindy and her four children toured Europe, performing in nine countries. They received the audience popularity award for The European World of Bluegrass and were featured on the cover of European Bluegrass Magazine. Cindy is featured on The Musselwhite Family's Handing Down Tradition CD playing guitar and mandolin as well as on Bluegrass According to The Hoyles CD playing mandolin alongside Jerry Douglas, Buck White and Randall Collins.

Ben Davis is a local musician with his band of many years, Liquid Caravan.  Ben is also a member of the Tangled String staff, serving as an expert sound engineer.  Ben is proficient on guitar and mandolin, but his instrument of choice is the bass guitar.
